NCLEX PREP FOR SUCCESS

This is an intense, 5 week course designed to prepare participants for successful completion of the National Council Licensure Examination(NCLEX). Pre-requisite/

Co-requisite: Participants must be graduates of a Practical Nursing program or expected graduates within 6-8 weeks of enrollment. 

CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION (CPR)

Apply knowledge and skills in performing lifesaving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for adults, children, and infants. FIRST AID

First Aid provides a network of skills tailored to emergency situations. The participant will recognize injuries and sudden illnesses. Demonstrate skills in handling emergencies, explain why and how to apply basic precautions to reduce disease transmission. The participant will recognize and care for different types of wounds, including burns and bleeding, demonstrate how to mobilize muscles, bones, and joint injuries including  head, neck, and back.

OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY HEALTH ADMINISTRATION

 (OSHA)

Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) training will outline the regulations concerning medical waste, blood-borne pathogens, and universal precautions, while focusing on safety techniques to keep all healthcare employees safe from blood-borne pathogens.

HEALTH INSURANCE PORTABILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY ACT (HIPAA)

Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) training provides a concrete understanding to the privacy rule in healthcare, while detailing the patient rights and non-compliance, implementation, and the two provisions: title I, and title II.

CERTIFICATION PREP

            (Allied Health)

Certification review classes will prepare students with the tools needed to successfully pass the certification exam for the following courses; Medical Assistant, Medical Administrative Assistant, Phlebotomy, Medical Billing, and Patient Care Technician. Pre-requisite/Co-requisite: Participants must be graduates of an allied health program or expected graduates within 4-6 weeks of enrollment.
